 The Next Day,

All of them woke up early in morning ready to embrace their journey to Doge's Palace.All of them were dropped off by Mrs. Bruno.

Chris again began with his scholastic skills that he had gained,"The oldest part of the palace is the wing overlooking the lagoon, the corners of which are decorated with 14th-century sculptures, thought to be by Filippo Calendario and various Lombard artists such as Matteo Raverti and Antonio Bregno.

 

The ground floor arcade and the loggia above are decorated with 14th- and 15th-century capitals, some of which were replaced with copies during the 19th century."   

Alex adding to Chris knowledge said,"   Venetian Gothic is the particular form of Italian Gothic architecture typical of Venice, originating in local building requirements, with some influence from Byzantine architecture, and some from Islamic architecture, reflecting Venice's trading network. 

Very unusually for medieval architecture, the style is at its most characteristic in secular buildings, with the great majority of surviving examples of the style being secular."  

Jack with little excitement said,"  The best-known examples are the Doge's Palace and the Ca' d'Oro."    

Chris mocklingling replied,"someone is trying to act smart."

Jack didn't reply because he just wanted Chris to come to his normal self.

After an hour of tour, they all went to a restaurant which offered variety of fresh sea food.They had bunch of dishes like - Sarde in Saor (marinated sardines), Bigoli in Salsa (pasta with anchovy sauce), Risi e Bisi (rice and peas)and Risotto al Nero di Seppia (squid ink risotto).

Alex said with bit of hesitation,"I think we should go there and figure out all things.What do you guys think?"

Jack replied,"Do we really need to, I mean its putting ourselves in risk.And after all its an haunted island nobody is allowed in."     

Alex said,"Who says  we need permission to go in. We can use my power so that nobody can see us.I am capable enough to pass the power to at least two persons."   

Chris replied,"I think we really should go not because I want to learn truth about my parents but to know how does that man knew about us.Not that Alex is famous but not to far that this person would know."      

Jack said,"Its nearly 20.5 km away from here. how are we suppose to go?"  

Alex replied,"I think we should go by a bus."

Chris said,"Let's get going we need to be back here by 7:30 p.m."   

They all are about to discover something which is shocking!

About the place they are going to visit ;
